Casual Day Friday Vinnies Christmas Donation

Today Trudi Corbett presented Tony Spurling the Regional President of Vinnies with the gift vouchers purchased with the Casual Day Friday money raised by AASB Partners and Staff.
Tony wanted to pass on his gratitude and to let you all know that these vouchers mean more than just a day at the movies or the pool etc. These vouchers provide children ‘inclusion’ when they return to school and the other kids are talking about what they did over the holidays.

Leon Griffin Wins Ironman 70.3 Timberman

Leon burst onto the multisport circuit in 2006, claiming the ITU World Duathlon Championship in his debut Pro season.
Since then, he's been chasing and claiming victories in all corners of the globe. Splitting time between his hometown of Bendigo, Australia, and the endurance mecca of Boulder, Colorado (USA), provides a platform to lay the foundation in his pursuit for ultimate glory - climbing atop the highest mountains in the world of Triathlon.
With a mind and body capable, he's now piecing together the team necessary to reach the highest heights in a brutally tough sport... some say the toughest there is.

MT EVEREST Expedition
Sarah Pell reaches Everest Base Camp 5636m and acclimatises well

Sarah is well-known for her extreme performance feats - usually underwater. In 2015 however she leads her first expedition to Mt. Everest. After reconditioning training and years of preparation, her team make it to Everest Base Camp and begin the month-long climbing and acclimatisation.
*26 APRIL 2015* AASB are pleased Sarah and the Seven Summits Trekking team all survived the 2015 Nepal earthquake and Everest avalanches. Our thoughts are with Nepal and we wish the team well for next season.
